DETAILS
This Tudor Snowlfake Submariner reference 7021/0 dates to circa 1970 and features its stunning original blue dial. The dial is in excellent condition with a small mark on the edge at 11 minutes/seconds. The original tritium luminous on the dial and original “Snowflake” hands are showing a nice patina and matching. The luminous glows under UV and then slowly fades as tritium should from this year. This example also features its original black and red “Roulette” date wheel.
The Rolex Oyster 40mm stainless steel Submariner case is in excellent condition and retains visible chamfered lugs. It has the original blue “Kissing Four” fat font bezel insert that has nicely faded but is missing the lume pearl as many now do. It also retains the original Rolex screw-down crown. The 738,xxx serial number in-between the lugs corresponds with the earlier date inside case back of IV.68.
The original movement that powers this Tudor Submariner is the robust automatic ETA Calibre 2484 signed Montres Tudor S.A. The movement is fully functioning and keeping excellent time.
The watch comes with its Rolex Oyster folded link bracelet ref. 7836 with 282 end links and dated 4/71. The bracelet is in excellent condition with light scratches consistent with the case. The watch is complimented by an additional blue pig skin JPM leather strap.
Overall, this is a great original example of arguably the most iconic Tudor model ever produced.
